iQOO Z9s & iQOO Z9s Pro review, difference between iQOO Z9s & iQOO Z9s Pro, best mobile under 20k
iQOO Z9s & iQOO Z9s Pro review & First Look.
iQOO Z9s & iQOO Z9s Pro review :- Friends, whenever we get an iQOO phone, I can say with my eyes closed that it’s going to be great in performance. Because that’s their legacy. It’s a new brand but all the phones launched in the last 2 years have great performance. But I feel that the parent brand Vivo is focusing on the camera, design & other things, And now with iQOO phones, they have performance but they’re also focusing on other things. Now if I talk about the iQOO Z9s Pro & Z9s, the Z9s is going to be under Rs 20K & the Z9s Pro is going to be around Rs 18K-22K. I’d say that it doesn’t only benchmark in performance but it also stands out in 2-3 other things. So I’d say that it’s probably no.1 iQOO phone which you can recommend with your eyes closed. Let’s open the Z9s Pro & Z9s.
So the display is amazing at Rs 18K. It has a 5500mAh battery & these phones feel so light. ( iQOO Z9s & iQOO Z9s Pro review )
iqoo z9 s pro –
Let’s open the Z9s Pro first. The Z9s comes with a 44W charger & the Pro comes with a 80W charger. It has a USB Type C to Type A, Type A to Type C charging cable & a humble SIM card tool. This is the box contents & the only difference is the charger. The Pro has a 80W charger & the Z9s has a 44W charger. I think this is vegan leather. Let’s find out. It’s a flamboyant orange colour. There’s another colour which is non-vegan leather. This is kind of marble. These come in the Pro & then you also have this. This is also nice. I’ll call it grey or silver. There’s another colour in this. Let’s keep this aside & look at the phones. I think the Pro is lighter in both the phones. Let’s find out. It’s 183 gms. It’s so thin! It’s 7.49 mm. So it’s very thin. I think this is also the same, 7.49-7.5 mm. But it looks a little heavy. Let’s see this. I said 183 gms. How much difference is there between vegan leather & this?
Vegan leather is slightly heavier & this is slightly lighter. And if I talk about this, it’s 183 gms. The non-Pro variant is slightly lighter. So they’re lightweight & thin. Ports & Buttons There’s a sim card tray at the bottom, a microphone, USB Type C, speaker grill, power on & off button, volume rocker. There’s a noise cancelling microphone at the top & nothing at the left hand side.
The sim card tray has a dual nano sim card slot. Both have 8GB RAM & 128GB ROM. But I think the non-Pro has 8GB RAM & 256GB ROM. But the Pro has 12GB RAM & 256GB ROM. It has a scratch guard.
So it’s 185 gms. So I was nearly right. There’s a head protection. I really like it. Before talking about the specifications, let me tell you about the display. Both have amazing displays. It’s a 6.77” OLED display with 120Hz fast refresh rate. The non-Pro has 1800 nits brightness & the Pro has 4500 nits peak brightness. If we talk about the screen-to-body ratio, look at that.
The bezels are very thin & the chin is absolutely thin. So, beautiful! I’d say it’s an immersive display. It’ll be fun. We were talking about the price range of a better phone for multimedia. Because it has loud stereo speakers, good audio clarity & a beautiful display. So, you’re going to enjoy multimedia.
I don’t think there’s a better phone in Rs 18K. Let’s talk about the specifications.
difference between iQOO Z9s & iQOO Z9s Pro –
The difference between iQOO Z9s & iQOO Z9s Pro review is that the non-Pro variant has a Dimensity 7300 processor. The AnTuTu score is around 7 Lakh. And this Rs 22K phone comes with a 7th Gen i3. The score is around 8 Lakh 20-30 Lakh. It has UFS 2.2 storage & LPDDR4X RAM.
It would’ve been better if it had UFS 3.1. But, we didn’t find much difference in the AnTuTu score. It was quite good. In fact, we tried gaming on it. You can play BGMI games on 60FPS. Yes, it has 90FPS. And I was asking my team, how did they get a curved display for gaming? So, that is one question to iQOO.
funtoch os –
Now, they’re making a lifestyle phone with a good performance. So, that is what it is. FunTouch OS 14 comes with 2 years of major updates & 3 years of security updates. And FunTouch OS is a subjective & third party app. There are third party apps that you can uninstall. But, they’re there. I think FunTouch OS needs to get reincarnated.
Because all the other UIs have gone ahead. FunTouch OS, I think, is there. Yes, but the gaming DNA of iQOO is the same. So, you get it in Ultra Game Mode & Motion Control. So, if you want to reload a gun, do it with motion. So, all those things are there. Talking about the OS features, you get virtual RAM up to 12GB.
charging –
You can run up to 40 apps in the background. And I forgot to mention, we ran the CPU throttle test. The stability was up to 90%. In fact, it was up to 99% for the GPU. Talking about the thermals, it has a 3000mm2 vapour cooling chamber. The thermals were completely in control. Despite being 183-187g, both have a 5500mAh high density battery. Charging is 80W & 44W. iQOO claims that your battery will be healthy for 4 years. So, you should not have any problems. It has reverse wired charging support. It’s 7.5W but it’s there.
sensors, connectivity
Let’s talk about the sensors. It has face unlock, in-display fingerprint sensor & everything works well. Connectivity is good with Wi-Fi 6 & Bluetooth 5.4. It has 8 5G bands. It doesn’t have NFC & IR blaster. Other features include SAR value within limits. It has HDR support. It has Widevine L1 & you can watch HDR videos on Netflix. It has IP64 certification. It doesn’t have FM radio. But it has Aura light at the back.
camera
iQOO Z9s & iQOO Z9s Pro review :- Let’s talk about the cameras. Vivo’s expertise in cameras is visible in iQOO 12. A person from our office bought iQOO 12 & he was surprised with the camera. I always ask him about the camera. In this price range, you get 50MP plus 8MP in Pro. And the third one is a flicker sensor. It’s a 50MP plus 8MP ultrawide camera. You can see colour shift. The colours are good with the primary sensor. You can shoot 2X portraits. And they come out really well. The bokeh looks good. Even the edge cutout comes out quite well. The skin tones are good. You get a 16MP selfie sensor in both. But you don’t get a 50MP ultrawide sensor in regular. Both have Sony IMX882 sensor & support for OIS. But you get 8MP ultrawide sensor in the Pro variant. We’ve taken many photos in different conditions. Both shoot 4K 30FPS. So the 50MP primary sensor shoots 4K videos.
Let’s quickly talk about the features –
Let’s quickly talk about the features. Everything is there. There’s a snapshot, night mode, portrait, photo, video mode, time lapse, super moon mode, 50MP native mode, panorama, ultra HD document, live photo, dual view mode, pro mode. So all of them are there. And you might say that there are no AI features. After taking a photo, there’s an AI erase feature. So you can erase unwanted things in the photo with the help of AI. And photo enhance mode. You can enhance the photo by blurring it out. And there’s SGS Low Blue Light certification on the display. So your eyes can see more clearly. This is the iQOO Z9s Pro & Z9s. Talking about the display, multimedia & performance, it really stands out. The iQOO phones are not only good for performance, but the other aspects are also good. Even the cameras are quite decent. They’re definitely going to be in the top 5. I’m not just saying this, we’ve tested it.
